Job description

This position offers an opportunity to utilize and expand your civil and structural engineering skills within a multidisciplinary team environment, focusing on the design, modification, and analysis of substation systems.

Responsibilities include:

1. Preparing calculations for storm water drainage, sanitary sewer systems, disposal fields, and earthwork to support design.
2. Developing site layout, grading, and drainage designs.
3. Designing storm sewer systems, roads, trackwork, and ponds.
4. Collaborating with designers to accurately represent designs in models and drawings.
5. Reviewing shop drawings and vendor documentation for compliance with specifications.
6. Assisting in structural analysis and detailed design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, equipment, and foundations.
7. Developing integrated structural designs and calculations for planned work.
8. Interfacing with clients and communicating technical information effectively.
9. Preparing technical specifications for structural materials.
10. Engaging in peer-learning and knowledge sharing through company systems and communities of practice.
11. Potential travel to client offices for design reviews and site visits for construction coordination and verification.

Work Schedule:

This role is based on a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office presence 3 days per week.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• At least 1 year of related experience in site grading, drainage, storm sewer systems, road design, ponds, or landfills.
• Knowledge of technical plan, drawing, and model production techniques.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Valued Skills (Preferred but not required):

• Experience with design tools like AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microstation, MathCad.
• Engineering internship or co-op experience.
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam completion and EIT designation.
• Experience in civil engineering calculations documentation.

Compensation:
