Description
This position offers an opportunity to utilize and expand your civil and structural engineering skills within a multidisciplinary team environment. You will be involved in the design, modification, and analysis of substation systems.
- Prepare calculations related to stormwater drainage, sanitary sewer systems, disposal fields, and earthwork to support design efforts.
- Develop site layouts, grading, and drainage designs.
- Design storm sewer systems, roads, trackwork, and ponds.
- Collaborate with designers to accurately represent designs in models and drawings.
- Review shop drawings and vendor documentation for compliance with specifications.
- Assist in structural analysis and detailed design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, equipment, and foundations.
- Support the development of integrated structural designs and calculations.
- Interface with clients and communicate technical information effectively.
- Prepare technical specifications for structural materials.
- Opportunities for career development through peer learning and knowledge sharing within our systems and communities of practice.
- Potential travel to client offices for design reviews and site visits for construction coordination and field verification.
This position is based on a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office presence 3 days per week.
Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- At least 1 year of related experience in site grading, drainage, storm sewer systems, road design, ponds, or landfills.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for producing technical plans, drawings, and models.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Valued but not required skills and experience:
- Proficiency with design tools such as MathCad, AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microstation.
- Engineering internship or co-op experience.
- Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and EIT designation.
- Experience in writing and supporting civil engineering calculations.

Compensation Range
$64,720.00 - $92,930.00
