Job summary

Avangrid Networks seeks an Engineer - Civil to review HV, MV, and LV substation civil design for NYSEG and RGE. The role includes developing standards, building design libraries, and creating BOMs.

You will join a cross-functional project team to support transmission projects under CLCPA goals in New York. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program, 3+ years of experience in electric transmission or distribution, and advanced training or a graduate

Qualifications

Requires ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in engineering.
3+ years’ experience in electric transmission or distribution standards engineering.
Professional Engineer license preferred.

Responsibilities

Review high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage substation civil design for NYSEG/RGE.
Develop substation standards and design libraries.
Prepare and manage bill of materials/quantities for substations.
Collaborate with project teams and construction managers to solve design challenges.
Represent AVANGRID in industry associations and regulatory interactions.
