Avangrid is seeking an Engineer - Electric Systems Engineering in Rochester, NY to support planning, design, and execution of electric system projects. You will perform conceptual and detailed engineering reviews and ensure compliance with regulations, company standards, and industry practices.

Reporting to the Unit Manager, you will work with a cross-functional project team to provide technical support through the project lifecycle and ensure deliverables meet quality and schedules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years minimum of relevant experience in electric system engineering, power systems, or substation design.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsabilités

• Execute detailed electric system engineering tasks across project phases, including scoping, budgeting support, conceptual and detailed design, construction support, and closeout.
• Perform engineering analyses, calculations, and designs for electric systems; ensure compliance with company standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare, review, and maintain engineering documentation and drawings (e.g., schematics, one-line diagrams, equipment specifications); ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality.
• Support technical decision-making by providing sound engineering recommendations and resolving design issues.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and contractors to ensure alignment with project requirements, company policies, and best practices.
