Job summary

HDR is seeking a Substation CAD Intern in Spokane, WA. You will support discipline modeling, drawings, and BIM outputs under supervision, while learning from Architect/Engineers and contributing to digital design efforts.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an engineering program with attention to detail and good communication; basic MS Office skills are required. This temporary full-time role is based in person at HDR's office in Washington.

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.

Responsibilities

• Work for a specific discipline under the direct supervision of an Architect/Engineer or other technical professional.
• Assist in the development of the discipline model with direction from the Digital Design, Architectural, or Engineering staff.
• Assist with creation of the discipline model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output for that discipline.
• Accurately model BIM elements in the correct constraints of the modeling environment using current 2D/3D software.
• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams of the design using current 2D/3D software.
• Maintain the discipline model including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views and sheets.
• Produce discipline specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output.

In the role of Substation CAD Intern, we’ll count on you to:
