Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) seeks a drafter or designer to join our Raleigh, NC office. The role uses AutoCAD and MicroStation to support power engineering projects, producing general arrangements, site plans, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams under supervision.

Ideal candidates have a college degree in drafting/design or a two-year CAD certificate, plus experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation. Strong communication and teamwork are required; occasional travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• College degree or two-year CAD certificate required.
• AutoCAD and MicroStation experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work individually and on a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform drafting work manually or with computer-aided tools.
• Follow ECI drafting standards and symbol systems.
• Design substations in Microstation/AutoCAD.
• Draft substation schematics and wiring diagrams in Microstation/AutoCAD.
• Work as part of a team to meet client schedules.
• Experience with Microstation 3D is strongly desired; Microstation Civil for grading plans is desirable.
