Job summary

Wesco seeks an Application Engineer to join our Grid Services team. You will support and create technical sales proposals for high voltage substation products and services, serving as the engineering point person for the RFQ process through installation and commissioning.

You will provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, coordinate with vendors, and ensure proposals are accurate, cost‑competitive, and aligned with customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in networking and infrastructure sales in a medium/large company.
• 3–5 years of technical experience using networking and infrastructure products.
• Demonstrated data analysis skills to resolve missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies.
• Ability to work independently and solve difficult issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in high voltage substation products (46kV and above) as the domain expert.
• Support engineering, product selection, compatibility confirmation, and specification review for RFQs.
• Support post‑sales activities with customers and manufacturers through installation and commissioning.
