Job summary

Thresholds' Center for Mental Wellbeing in Kankakee, IL seeks a Substance Use Therapist to provide individual and group therapy in a community clinic setting. You will engage adults and families using harm reduction principles and integrated treatment planning, with face-to-face sessions and occasional crisis intervention.

Responsibilities include meeting clients where they are in their recovery journey, facilitating workshops, and collaborating with licensed clinicians.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
• Clinical licensure preferred (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, LSW, LPC).
• CADC preferred.
• Prior experience providing substance use treatment preferred.
• Ability to meet clients face-to-face and provide individual/group therapy, harm reduction-based care.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy in clinic for substance use treatment.
• Meet clients where they are in recovery using harm reduction practices.
• Develop integrated treatment plans and assess needs with clients or guardians.
• Facilitate workshops, crisis intervention, and encourage mutual aid group participation.
