Job summary

Thresholds-Inc in Kankakee, IL is seeking a Substance Use Therapist to provide individual and group therapy at the Center for Mental Wellbeing, Thresholds’ CCBHC. You will meet clients where they are in recovery, use harm reduction approaches, and develop integrated treatment plans tailored to each individual and family.

You will engage in crisis intervention, case consultation, and a range of modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, WRAP, motivational interviewing, and IFS.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field is required.
• Clinical licensure preferred (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, LSW, LPC).
• Prior experience providing substance use treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy in clinic setting for substance use disorders.
• Meet clients face-to-face to assess needs, set goals, and develop integrated treatment plans.
• Deliver therapeutic workshops and facilitate mutual aid groups.
• Provide case consultation and crisis intervention.
