Job summary

Merakey is seeking a dedicated Therapist to join the Drug & Alcohol Program at the Wellness Village in Philadelphia, PA. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, providing individual and group therapy to adults in substance use treatment.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in a relevant field and is actively pursuing licensure, with licensure/certification to be achieved within 2–3 years of hire.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, psychology, addictions studies, social work or related field with specialty in counseling.
• Actively working towards a Professional License (LPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist).
• Licensure or certification to be achieved within two to three years of hire, per Merakey requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy to adults in substance use treatment.
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans; coordinate care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Support clients through recovery, monitoring progress and engagement in services.
• Maintain accurate, timely, compliant clinical documentation meeting regulatory requirements.
• Engage in supervision, trainings, and team meetings; uphold professional boundaries and confidentiality.
