Job summary

Hanley Foundation in Florida is seeking a Substance Use Prevention Educator to develop and implement prevention programs in Collier County schools, with some travel to Hendry & Glades Counties. This full-time role offers a generous benefits package and requires a reliable personal vehicle.

You will collaborate with teachers, participate in coalitions, recruit sites, deliver curricula to adolescents, and maintain documentation and data entries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, education, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience.
• A minimum of 1 year working with adolescents, preferably in a school or public health setting.
• Certified Prevention Professional (CPP) preferred or Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to deliver approved substance use prevention curricula to schools and other agencies.
• Participate in community coalition meetings and task force committees.
• Recruit and secure school and community implementation locations.
• Secure training sites for approved programs.
• Market and promote programs to schools in the community.
