Job summary

Hanley Foundation seeks a part-time Substance Use Prevention Educator to develop and implement prevention programs in Palm Beach County schools and partner sites. Travel to schools and community events is required; a reliable vehicle is necessary.

The role involves collaboration with teachers, conducting classroom facilitation, and delivering approved curricula. Candidates should have a bachelor's in a relevant field and experience with youth; CPP/CPS is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, education, or related field preferred or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year working with adolescents, preferably in schools or public health.
  • CPP or CPS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teachers to deliver approved substance use prevention curricula in schools and other agencies.
  • Participate in community coalition meetings and task force committees.
  • Recruit and secure school and community locations for programs.
  • Market and promote programs to schools and partners.
  • Deliver education to parents and faculty on substances and risks.
