Job summary

Cenikor Foundation in Farmington, NM is seeking a Mental Health Counselor to support detox clients and their treatment plans. The role focuses on delivering individualized counseling and coordinating care with clinical staff in a community-based setting.

You will develop treatment plans, conduct regular reviews, and maintain accurate records while contributing to Cenikor’s mission of supportive recovery and client wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling or related field.
• Experience in substance abuse treatment preferred.
• Experience with electronic health record system preferred.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans within three service days of admission.
• Provide individual and group counseling per schedule and treatment plan.
• Coordinate with facility staff to maintain a safe recovery environment.
• Complete discharge summaries within two working days of discharge.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with funding and billing criteria.
