Job summary

The Providence Center Inc is seeking a Substance Use Specialist ACT I to deliver counseling and crisis intervention for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. You will provide care coordination within a multidisciplinary team and ensure services align with program standards across office and community settings.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred), 1–3 years’ experience, LCDP licensure within a year, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in substance use therapy.
• Licensure as LCDP within 1 year of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Understanding of DSM-5-TR in clinical practice.
• Bilingual ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling for mental health and/or substance use disorders.
• Deliver specialty substance use services and support staff.
• Create and implement individualized care plans with the care team.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and document findings.
• Coordinate with community agencies and advocate for clients.
