Qualifications

• Experience providing counseling/behavioral health support to individuals with substance use disorders.
• Experience with motivational interviewing and person-centered, nonjudgmental care.
• Familiarity with care settings including mental health, primary care, SUD treatment.
• Ability to deliver manualized interventions and assess risks.
• Strong organization, time management, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver manualized brief interventions using motivational interviewing and risk reduction.
• Develop study materials and provide training to support study aims.
• Engage with rural communities; foster engagement, trust and collaboration.
• Identify and respond to clinical risks; conduct risk assessments and action plans.
• Support research program implementation with clinic partners.
• Assist with recruitment, data collection, and day-to-day study activities.
• Adhere to regulations, confidentiality, data integrity, and SOPs.
• Other duties to fulfill study aims.
