Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health seeks a Behavioral Health Technician I in Columbia, MO, to support detox clients in a compassionate, structured setting. You will assist with admissions, monitoring, safety, and daily living tasks while upholding dignity and confidentiality.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to respond to medical needs promptly. 3 pm–11 pm shift, full-time, with comprehensive training and growth opportunities in a supportive workplace.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Prior experience in Human Services or related fields advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess, admit, supervise, monitor, transfer, and discharge social setting detox clients.
• Monitor vital signs and withdrawal signs; determine need for medical assistance.
• Provide a safe, therapeutic and supportive environment for clients in ADA/Social Setting Detox.
• Foster adaptive behavior through positive social interaction and problem-solving.
• Record medical protocols and assist with daily living skills.
• Assist with medication dispensing per physician orders and training permits.
• Prepare paperwork and obtain specimens for random drug testing.
