Job summary

The Counselor at Carle Health provides evaluation and counseling to chemically dependent patients and families within inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to develop and coordinate treatment plans and aftercare, liaising with referrals and families.

Role requires a Master’s degree and licensure/eligibility (LPC/LCPC or CADC/IAODAPCA) with fluent English, strong organization and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related field.
• Licensed or eligible LPC/LCPC or CADC/IAODAPCA certification.
• Fluent English, multicultural sensitivity, strong communication and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation, counseling and therapeutic services to chemically dependent patients and families.
• Makes recommendations for treatment and acts as liaison with the treatment network.
• Maintains open communication with referral sources, families and others involved in treatment.
• Coordinates care with the interdisciplinary treatment team and develops individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitates programming for court-ordered referrals and supports post-treatment planning.
