Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation, counseling and therapeutic services to chemically dependent patients/families assessing problems and history.
• Makes recommendations for treatment and acts as a liaison with the treatment network.
• Facilitates programming for court ordered referrals.
• Assists patient and family with adjustment to illness, motivation for treatment and planning for post treatment care; documents per guidelines.
• Develops, promotes and maintains professional development and participates in community education.
• Assesses and selects teaching strategies and therapy modalities appropriate to patients and families.
• Consults with resources within Behavioral Health to provide education.
