Job summary

The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is the largest nonprofit addiction recovery organization in the United States. It provides clinical services across a coordinated treatment team and emphasizes privacy and ethical practice.

We are hiring Substance Use Disorder Counselors at the Counselor 1 and 2 levels in Minnesota. Roles include direct patient care, supervision, CEU opportunities, tuition support, and a commitment to DEI and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required for Counselor 1; Master’s Degree required for Counselor 2.
• Active Substance Use Disorder certification or license (MN: LADC).
• Proficiency with technology to document in EHR and manage communications.
• Must be 18+, CPR certification within 30 days; CPR certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services with treatment team per standards of care.
• Provide clinical coaching to students and interns.
• Represent Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation services to audiences.
• Maintain manageable caseload and participate in supervision.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and DEI initiatives.
