Job summary

Acadia Healthcare's Allentown Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) in Orefield, PA, seeks a Substance Use Counselor for our outpatient MAT program. You will provide compassionate individual and group counseling and document care plans within a team of professionals.

The role emphasizes assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and collaboration with medical staff to support opioid recovery. Full-time hours support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Associate/Bachelor/Master degree in social or health services with relevant practicum.
• Accredited program completion required.
• Experience in health or human services preferred.
• Must meet state regulatory standards as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to patients.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document recovery progress.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Complete timely documentation of care and incidents.
• Develop individual treatment plans for assigned patients.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
• Assess needs and coordinate referrals to other programs.
• Assist with aftercare planning and crisis intervention as needed.
• Perform case management duties and liaise with referrals.

Education

Associate's degree in social or health services field
