Job summary

Lewistown Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) in Lewistown, PA, part of Acadia Healthcare's network, seeks a Substance Use Counselor for our outpatient MAT program. You will provide compassionate individual and group counseling to patients with opioid use disorder and help plan recovery.

The role includes assessments, treatment planning, documentation, and collaboration with medical staff, with opportunities for growth and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with MAT and related medications (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone).
• Experience delivering individual and group counseling for substance use recovery.
• Knowledge of CBT/MI and relapse prevention strategies.
• Ability to maintain compliant clinical documentation.
• Familiar with state/federal regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate individual and group counseling sessions.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery and treatment plans.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure timely documentation of care, treatment, and incidents.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
• Determine referrals to other programs or facilities when needed.
• Assist with aftercare planning for assigned patients.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Perform case management to ensure quality care.
