Job summary

Pottstown Comprehensive Treatment Center, part of Acadia Healthcare, is seeking a Substance Use Counselor to support patients with opioid use disorder through individual and group counseling. Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 2 years of clinical experience or a Bachelor's with 1 year, or Master's with practicum.
• Degree must be from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in both individual and group counseling sessions.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient's recovery.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents is completed timely and concisely.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each assigned patient.
• Initial and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate patient needs and determine referrals as needed.
• May plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
• Provide crisis intervention to patients as needed.
• Provide case management duties and liaison with referral sources.
