Job summary

Beloit Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) in Beloit, WI, seeks a Substance Use Counselor for part-time hours (22-24 per week). The counselor will provide compassionate individual and group counseling, develop treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in social/health services (Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred), experience in addiction recovery, and MAT familiarity.

Qualifications

• Minimum an Associate’s Degree in social or health services field required.
• Prefer Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social or health services field.
• Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings.
• Familiarity with MAT (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone).
• Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in individual and group counseling sessions.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient’s recovery.
• Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure documentation regarding patient care is complete and clear.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each patient.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate patient needs and referrals to other programs.
• May plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Provide case management to ensure individualized quality care.
• Act as liaison between referrals and patients as needed.
