Job summary

Anchorage Comprehensive Treatment Center in Anchorage, AK, seeks a Substance Use Counselor to support patients with opioid use disorder through individual and group counseling. You will document treatment plans, assess needs, and coordinate referrals in a collaborative Agencya setting.

Requires a Bachelor's or Master's in social/health services and familiarity with MAT (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone).

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in social or health services fields.
Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings.
Familiarity with MAT (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone).
Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions.

Responsibilities

Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in individual and group counseling sessions.
Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient’s recovery.
Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
Ensure documentation of care, treatment and incidents is timely and clear.
Prepare individual treatment plans for each patient.
Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
Evaluate patient needs and determine referrals to other programs.
Plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
Provide crisis intervention as needed.
Perform case management to ensure quality care.
Act as liaison between referral sources and patients.
