Anchorage Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), part of Acadia Healthcare, is seeking a Substance Use Counselor for its outpatient MAT program. The role emphasizes compassionate individual and group counseling for opioid use disorder and requires familiarity with MAT options and regulatory standards.

You will document treatment plans, conduct assessments, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery, including crisis intervention and aftercare planning as needed.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in social or health services field is required (accredited college or university).
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings (outpatient/residential/corrections) preferred.
• Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) including methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone.
• Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions for substance use recovery.
• Knowledge of CBT, MI, and relapse prevention techniques.
• Documentation experience with clinical notes, treatment plans, and progress updates per guidelines.
• Familiarity with state regulatory standards (42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, Joint Commission).
• Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary teams with medical staff, case managers, and peer support.

• Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in both individual and group counseling sessions.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient’s recovery.
• Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure documentation regarding patient care is completed timely and clearly.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each patient.
• Perform initial and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate patient needs and referrals to other programs.
• May plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Provide case management to ensure individualized care.
• Act as liaison between referral sources and patients.
