Maryville Integrated Care, in partnership with the NJDOC, is hiring a Substance Use Counselor Intern or Trainee for South Woods State Prison in Bridgeton, NJ. The position offers Full-Time Days or Full Time Evenings, including Saturday or Sunday, with shifts from 7:30 am to 4 pm or 12:30 pm to 9 pm and a salary of $52,500 per year, based on experience and license.

Interns must be actively working toward CADC, LSW, LAC, LPC, or LCSW, under supervision, delivering counseling services within a

Qualifications

• Actively working towards certification (LCADC/CADC/LSW/LPC/CSW/LAC/LSW).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing substance use counseling or related behavioral health services.
• Sobriety: if recovering, at least two years of sobriety.
• Prefer: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Prefer: Bilingual Spanish.

Responsabilités

• Guide SUD participants through assessments and personalized roadmaps to recovery.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions.
• Coordinate case management to support reintegration into the community.
• Maintain documentation and ensure safety per DOC regulations.
