Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree not required; minimum Associate Degree in social work, psychology, education counseling, or related field as recognized by the Nevada Board.
• Ability to apply for CADC-Intern and work under supervision of an approved Licensed Counselor.
• Ability to pass first level and background clearance

Responsibilities

• Utilize counseling methods to evaluate, diagnose & treat substance use disorders.
• Assess needs and deliver individual, group and family counseling.
• Conduct client interviews and determine program participation eligibility.
• Complete documentation in WestCare Client Data System - Electronic Health Record.
• Attend interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and participate in discharge planning.
• Ensure adherence to WestCare policies and procedures.
