Job summary

MedMarkTreatment Centers, a BayMark Health Services company, is seeking a Substance Use Counselor-In-Training to support patients through medically assisted treatments and counseling. You will conduct individual and group sessions, assist with crisis management, and collaborate with medical staff to guide care.

Preferred candidates are actively pursuing or holding a Georgia CIT license, with experience with chemically dependent individuals.

Qualifications

• Must be working towards or hold current Georgia CIT license.
• Experience working with chemically dependent individuals.
• Positive, non-judgmental attitude toward patients.
• Ability to counsel 50–60 patients with documentation each month.
• Satisfactory criminal background check & drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling; direct service hours at regular intervals; coordinate all services.
• Complete bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Conduct initial assessments and eligibility interviews.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans; establish initial treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical records per Federal/State regulations for NTP clinics.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
