Volunteers of America - Texas is seeking aFull-time program staff member in Houston to perform intake screenings, develop individual treatment plans, and provide counseling and case management for clients seeking substance use treatment. The role emphasizes documentation, reporting, and adherence to funding requirements.

The position requires an LCDC license and a Texas driver’s license with a clear MVR. A Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• LCDC License is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related field preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with clear MVR and ability to be insured.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial intake screening and assessment to determine individual treatment needs.
• Conducts orientation for individuals referred to the program.
• Creates individual treatment plans based on assessment findings and reviews as needed.
• Provides clients with individual and group counseling and case management services.
• Maintains up-to-date client record documentation including filing per requirements of law.
• Prepares periodic reports on client status and activities for funding agencies.
• Monitors potential crises and notifies supervisor as needed.
• Maintains documentation in CM BHS or other electronic records.
