Job summary

Volunteers of America-Texas in Houston, TX seeks a licensed counselor to manage client services and provide clinical guidance within our programs. You will train staff, supervise counseling operations, and ensure treatment plans meet program requirements.

The role requires an LCDC license, a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. On-site work with a focus on direct client services and community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, counseling, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Current LCDC license or eligible for licensure as required.
• Minimum six years of directly related experience in counseling or supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage effective client services in line with VOA-TX program requirements and funding.
• Train new counseling staff on treatment programs and policies (intake, orientation, treatment plan documentation).
• Provide clinical guidance to counseling staff.
• Report client services weekly to program leadership.
• Conduct groups and individual counseling as described by the program.
• Coordinate timely client progress assessments and treatment planning.
