Job summary

DeCoach Rehabilitation Centre in Dayton, Ohio is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor or Counselor Assistant to join a hands‑on clinical team. You will assess clients, build treatment plans, and run group sessions in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

Shift options are 8:00am–4:30pm or 11:30am–8:00pm, with a pay range of $20.00–$26.00 per hour and monthly bonus potential. Office location is Dayton, OH, with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio CDCA, LCDC II/III, LICDC, or higher‑level credential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with diverse clients.
• Collaborative approach with professionals from different disciplines.
• Initiative and independence with guidance when needed.
• Strong organizational skills for caseloads and deadlines.
• Professionalism in a fast paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Complete client assessments and create individualized treatment plans using evidence‑based approaches.
• Run Group Counseling Sessions.
• Work with a multidisciplinary care team to keep treatment coordinated.
• Support clients in crisis and connect them to resources.
• Maintain thorough clinical records and progress notes meeting standards.
• Contribute to team meetings, case consultations, and supervision.
• Deliver respectful, culturally competent care to diverse clients.
• Grow professionally through training and current research.
