Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is hiring a Part-Time Substance Addiction Counselor for the Day Shift at Weber County Jail in Ogden, UT. You will work within a multidisciplinary Behavioral Health Unit to provide proactive, evidence-based treatment to justice-involved individuals with varying substance use issues.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or higher, 2+ years in a clinical setting, and a substance-use certification (CAC/CADC/CAADC/LADC).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level program or higher is required.
• Minimum of 2 years in a clinician/counselor/social work role in a public or private setting preferred.
• Must hold a substance use certification (CAC/CADC/CAADC/LADC).
• Must pass a satisfactory background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis stabilization, intakes, and ongoing evaluations.
• Assess functioning, strengths and weaknesses related to substance use diagnoses.
• Orient individuals to treatment processes and program goals.
• Deliver evidence-based treatments and curricula.
• Develop treatment and discharge plans with Behavioral Health Professionals.
• Conduct individual and group therapy as appropriate.
• Maintain confidentiality and timely documentation.
