Job summary

The Salvation Army Harbor Light in Michigan seeks a qualified behavioral health professional to provide counseling and client services across individual, group, and educational formats. You will maintain records and collaborate with referral sources to ensure appropriate treatment sequencing and authorization.

Responsibilities include documenting discharge plans, participating in clinical reviews, and supporting ongoing staff development through education sessions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Behavioral Science (Social Work, Counseling or Psychology).
• Minimum two years of experience working with substance abuse populations.
• TB test and police clearance required.
• Authorization to work within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual, group, and educational counseling sessions.
• Maintain case records per Harbor Light standards.
• Evaluate and modify treatment plans; report on service delivery.
• Coordinate with referral sources for treatment authorizations and reports.
• Complete discharge documentation including aftercare and referrals.
• Participate in clinical reviews and staff meetings.
• Distribute treatment satisfaction surveys at key intervals.
• Attend educational sessions to enhance treatment skills.
