Job summary

The Salvation Army Harbor Light in Monroe, MI seeks a qualified clinician to apply clinical practices and provide client services through individual, group, and educational counseling sessions.

You will maintain case records, coordinate with referral sources for treatment authorization, complete discharge documentation, and participate in staff meetings to improve program policies. A Master’s degree in Behavioral Science and substance abuse experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s degree in Behavioral Science (Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology).
• Minimum two years of experience working with substance abuse populations.
• TB test and police clearance required.
• Authorization to work within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual, group, and educational counseling sessions.
• Maintain case records in accordance with Harbor Light standards.
• Follow up to assess and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain contact with referral sources for treatment authorization and required reports.
• Complete discharge documentation including aftercare plan and referrals.
• Participate in clinical staff meetings and program policy reviews.
• Attend educational courses and in-service meetings to enhance treatment skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
