Job summary

BayMark Health Services, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Counselor Trainee to support patients through medically assisted programs and counseling for opioid use disorder.

You will conduct group and individual sessions, help craft crisis management techniques, and monitor progress under supervision in a outpatient setting. The role collaborates with doctors, nurses and therapists to optimize treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold ADT or ADT eligibility in Maryland.
• Experience with chemically dependent individuals preferred.
• Satisfactory criminal background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Carry out initial assessments and determine service eligibility.
• Facilitate initial treatment plans with patients.
• Complete bio-psychosocial assessments.
• Involve families in recovery when possible.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Manage stressful situations and collaborate with clinical staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
