New Season in Augusta, GA seeks a Substance Abuse Counselor to engage patients through individual, group, and family counseling within a collaborative treatment team to meet clinical needs and promote overall well‑being.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Human Services or related field.
• Experience in the substance abuse field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with patients to complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork.
• Document patient progress through counseling and group sessions.
• Create and follow an individualized treatment plan within required timeframes.
• Identify clinical or case-management needs and address them.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling as required.
• Maintain at least 20 hours of direct patient contact weekly.
• Educate patients about treatment, health issues, and recovery steps.
• Obtain urine drug screens and initial patient photo ID.
• Protect proprietary data and act in the program's best interests.
