Job summary

New Season Treatment Centers is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to engage with patients through individual, group and family counseling and to collaborate with our Medical Director, Program Director and treatment team to meet clinical needs.

As part of a national provider with over 30 years of experience, you will deliver safe, quality care for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder and make a positive impact in your local community.

Qualifications

• Active Missouri chemical dependency certifications are required.
• Experience in the substance abuse field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work with patients to complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork.
• Document patient progress through counseling and interaction through groups.
• Complete patient psychosocial and an individualized treatment plan within the required time frame.
• Identify clinical/case management needs and work to address those needs.
• Perform individual, group, and family counseling as required.
• Provide at least 20 hours of direct 1-on-1 patient contact per week.
• Educate patients on treatment, health issues, and steps to recovery.
• Obtain Urine Drug Screens and initial patient photo identification.
