Job summary

New Season is hiring a Substance Abuse Counselor to engage patients through individual, group, and family sessions. You will collaborate with our Medical Director, Program Director, and nursing staff to identify clinical needs and support overall well-being.

We require a Bachelor's Degree with a preference for experience in the substance abuse field. The position offers front-line benefits, a robust PTO plan, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required (state-specific requirements vary).
• Experience in the substance abuse field is preferred but not required.
• Strong counseling and communication skills to engage patients.

Responsibilities

• Engage patients with individual, group, and/or family counseling.
• Collaborate with the treatment team including Medical Director, Program Director, and Nurses to identify patient needs.
• Complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork.
• Document patient progress and psychosocial status; develop treatment plans within required timelines.
• Provide at least 20 hours of direct one-on-one contact weekly through counseling sessions.
