Job summary

The Family Initiative, Inc. is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to perform admissions biopsychosocial assessments, coordinate treatment planning, and deliver individual, family, and group counseling in Kansas and affiliate networks.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field, Kansas Substance Abuse certification, and a valid driver’s license. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling/Psychology or behavioral science related field is required.
Must be credentialed to provide billable substance use services or seeking clinical supervision with LAC/LMAC/LCAC to be eligible to provide billable services.
Valid driver’s license and meet agency underwriting standards.

Responsibilities

Perform admission biopsychosocial assessment.
Acquire signatures for release of information from RADAC to access client’s KCPC.
Provide orientation, treatment planning, individual, family, and group counseling and patient education.
Follow patient through continuum of care, processes, discharges, and referrals.
Complete 90 day reviews and maintain records per state standards and COA accreditation.
