Job summary

Behavioral Health Group - BHG in Gretna, LA is seeking a compassionate Counselor to provide individual and group counseling for individuals recovering from addiction, and to build trusting relationships with patients. You will guide patients through intake, connect them with community resources, and follow up on referrals to support their recovery journey.

The role offers a structured schedule (Mon-Fri 4:45AM–2:00PM with a rotating Saturday shift) and a pay rate of $26.00/hr plus a bonus

Qualifications

• Meet state-level requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) required.
• Experience in behavioral health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling for people recovering from drug use and alcohol disorders.
• Guide new and returning patients through intake and orientation process.
• Connect patients with community resources and help access support.
• Follow up on referrals and post-care contacts.
• Foster an inclusive, respectful, and compassionate environment.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
