GEO Reentry Services LLC in the United States is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to support education and treatment for drug and alcohol issues. You will conduct individual and group sessions, follow What Works evidence-based methods, and collaborate with case managers on appropriate referrals.

Responsibilities include coordinating programs, maintaining records, and developing treatment plans while engaging with clients and staff to promote successful outcomes in a correctional reintegration

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; and 3+ years of counseling with a criminal justice population.
• Alcohol and Drug Counselor certification preferred; NCAC/Registered status considered.
• Excellent oral and written communication; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct substance abuse programs using evidence-based practices.
• Schedule intakes, group and individual sessions; assist with case conferences.
• Develop treatment plans, document progress in the company database.
