Job summary

New Season Treatment Centers is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to engage with patients through individual, group, and family counseling. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify and meet clinical needs and support overall patient well-being.

The role supports a program with over 30 years of experience in outpatient care for opioid use disorder, offering day-one benefits and growth opportunities within a community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field.
• Experience in the substance abuse field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork.
• Document patient progress through counseling and group sessions.
• Develop and implement an individualized treatment plan within required timeframes.
• Identify clinical/case management needs and address them.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling as required.
• Ensure at least 20 hours of direct patient contact per week.
• Educate patients on treatment, health issues, and recovery steps.
• Obtain urine drug screens and initial patient photo ID.
• Protect and respect proprietary data and company rights.
