Job summary

New Season is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to provide individual, group, and family counseling within a collaborative treatment team. You will work with patients to complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork, and document progress through counseling and interactions in groups.

Our program emphasizes comprehensive care with education on treatment, health issues, and recovery steps, including urine drug screens and patient identification.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a Human Services or related field is required.
• Experience in the substance abuse field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork.
• Document patient progress through counseling and group sessions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans within required time frames.
• Identify clinical/case management needs and address them.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling as required.
• Achieve at least 20 hours of direct patient contact per week.
• Educate patients on treatment, health issues, and recovery steps.
• Administer Urine Drug Screens and obtain patient photo ID.
