Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to assess clients, determine the appropriate level of care using ASAM PPC-2R, and develop client-centered treatment plans with measurable goals.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document all counseling and education services, and ensure compliance with NJ regulations. Minimum 72 APCBNJ hours education or equivalent is required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalence required.
• Active pursuit of CADC/LCADC certification preferred.
• Completion of NJ APCB hours or equivalent is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients and determine level of care using ASAM PPC-2R.
• Develop client-centered treatment plans with measurable objectives.
• Document counseling and education services in the client chart.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Ensure compliance with NJ state regulations and hospital policies.
