Job summary

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in naval or DoD projects, CAD/FEA/CFD experience, and a Secret clearance. The role involves collaboration across disciplines and field support for prototypes and production transfers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• U.S. Citizenship and active Secret Clearance required.
• Proficiency in DFM, GD&T, and technical drawing interpretation.
• Experience with naval or DoD engineering projects.
• Familiarity with marine-grade metals and composites.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test mechanical systems and assemblies for undersea platforms including MK11 SDVs, SWCS, DCS, and related support equipment.
• Support fabrication, overhaul, refurbishment, reassembly, and verification of mechanical systems such as pressure vessels, enclosures, brackets, valves, and mounts.
• Perform FEA, hydrodynamic modeling, and CFD for submersible vehicle structures and components.
• Generate and review engineering documentation, specifications, and data packages per MIL-STD-31000B and project design requirements.
• Collaborate with electrical, systems, and software engineers to develop integrated multi-discipline solutions for mission-critical hardware.
• Provide prototype development, testing, and field support as required.
