Job summary

Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. (SARA) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Undersea Systems in Colorado Springs to design deep-submergence hardware for DoD and DoE programs.

You will develop pressure housings, subsea assemblies, and components, performing FEA and ensuring manufacturability from concept through production. Minimum 5–8 years of subsea design experience, a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and proficiency with SolidWorks or Creo are required; applicants must be U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of subsea design experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks or Creo.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for deep-submergence applications to depths of 5000 ft.
• Perform design and analysis of pressure housings, connectors, and subsea assemblies.
• Use FEA to validate designs and ensure manufacturability from concept to production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, electrical engineering, and test personnel.
