Responsibilities

  • Train contract operators for subsea commissioning procedures.
  • Provide control board operations for subsea commissioning and start-up.
  • Coordinate with subsea vendor technicians regarding subsea controls commissioning and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with contract labor for subsea/topside commissioning interfaces.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety through engagement in Permit to Work systems and safe execution.
  • Generate reporting to Start-Up Leads during start-up activities.
  • Support contractor operations during post-start-up surveillance, tuning, and performance testing.

Job description

AirSwift is seeking a Subsea Commissioning Advisor to support a major O&G company in Houston, TX on an initial 14‑month contract and then offshore for 8‑months.

Subsea Commissioning and Start‑Up Advisor – Part of the integrated Systems Completion and Start‑up Team on the Whiptail Project. Primarily responsible for supporting development and execution of the company‑owned Subsea Commissioning Procedures and Start‑Up Work Packs aligned with the contractor topside FPSO commissioning sequence.

Responsibilities
  • Input to the development of the initial Subsea Commissioning Procedures and Start‑Up Plan / Work Packs.
  • Support Company Start‑Up Leads to ensure planning for start‑up is addressed (SURF systems completion plans, start‑up workshops, background flare planning); proactively work with the Project Team and Contractor to resolve identified issues.
  • Assist Company Control Room Operator (CRO) Advisors in training and knowledge transfer to contract operators for subsea commissioning procedures and start‑up work packs.
  • Support execution of subsea commissioning and facility start‑up effort by the company, including:
    • Providing control board operations for subsea commissioning and start‑up.
    • Overs But therefore Weekuesday above oversight and support of Contractor CROs supporting subsea commissioning and start‑up.
    • Coordination with subsea vendor technicians regarding subsea controls commissioning and issue resolution.
    • Coordination with contract labor for subsea/topside commissioning interfaces.
    • Demonstrate commitment to safety through engagement in contractor’s Permit to Work System to ensure efficient and safe execution.
    • Generate appropriate reporting to Start‑Up Leads during the execution of start‑up activities.
    • Provide support for contractor/affiliate operations during post‑start‑up surveillance, tuning, and performance testing.
Required Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  • Previous board operator experience with subsea systems; target 10–15 years of overall offshore operations experience.
  • Broad knowledge of subsea and offshore facilities; systems completion as part of project execution; oil‑field chemicals in upstream operations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Good organizational and strong technical judgment skills.
  • Strong leadership and team‑building abilities.
  • Good interpersonal relationships with diverse workgroups.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate activities of others.
  • Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications.
