Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services in the United States seeks a Subsea Cable Technical Lead to act as the site technical lead for submarine network operations while remaining hands-on in maintenance, commissioning and restoration work.

You will provide advanced technical support across SLTE, DWDM, PFE, DCN and related optical systems, lead complex troubleshooting, coach technicians and ensure safe, standardized execution.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in optical transport or submarine cable systems.
• Hands-on fault isolation and restoration expertise.
• Experience with SLTE and/or DWDM systems, OTDR and power testing.
• Ability to coordinate with NOC, OEMs and vendors.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Live-network change experience and MOP adherence.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced diagnosis, restoration and maintenance for submarine transmission and related systems.
• Coordinate technical escalation with customer NOC, regional ops and OEMs.
• Review and execute MOPs, maintenance plans and changes.
• Identify risks and support maintenance windows with proper documentation.
• Perform complex optical testing, fault location and circuit turn-up.
• Provide day-to-day technical guidance to hybrid technicians.
