Job summary

Hadrian seeks a SUBSAFE Compliance Engineer to own the SUBSAFE and Material Level I compliance framework, including processes, documentation, material controls, and audit readiness. You will be the accountable owner ensuring compliance, defensibility, and readiness for audits.

You will build and maintain procedures, manage non-conformances, coordinate with NAVSEA and customers, and train personnel to uphold strict SUBSAFE standards in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in quality within defense, marine, nuclear, or aerospace manufacturing with SUBSAFE responsibility.
• Working knowledge of NAVSEA requirements and NAVSEA documents (0924-062-0010; 4855.34).
• Experience building/m running material-control and non-conformance processes in a regulated, audited environment.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. person under ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Own SUBSAFE and L1 materials compliance, documentation, and audit posture.
• Establish and audit OQE packages including test data and traceability.
• Define SUBSAFE boundary and ensure controls and qualifications.
• Write and maintain SUBSAFE/L1 procedures within AS9100D system.
• Manage non-conformance, root-cause, and corrective actions.
• Prepare for NAVSEA and customer audits and qualification processes.
• Flow SUBSAFE/L1 requirements to suppliers and verify certifications on receipt.
• Train Hadrian personnel handling SUBSAFE material.
