Job summary

Amica Mutual Insurance Company in Lincoln, RI seeks a Subrogation Representative to investigate, negotiate, and recover subrogation claims with supervision on low-complexity assignments. The role starts with reviewing new files for demands and may progress to handling backlogs as experience grows. Strong customer service and clear communication are essential.

Scheduled for 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Occasional holidays and some Saturdays may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• State insurance licenses to be obtained as needed and ongoing CE.
• Strong organizational, file management and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong decision-making skills and ability to handle conflicts.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Prior subrogation knowledge and experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Pursue additional insurance designations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate liability and damages to assess subrogation potential.
• Negotiate recoveries with carriers and other parties.
• Update parties with new information and analysis.
• Maintain diary systems to manage files timely.
• Manage expenses on assigned files, including legal costs.
• Maintain favorable relationships with claim offices.
• May handle other duties as required.
• Role may evolve from file review to backlog handling.
